We can all name a few essential oils from the bible, Frankincense and Myrrh for example, but what about Galbanium, Cassia and Onycha? Come and learn about the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of these lesser known oils and many others and their relevance to our health today.
Oils like Aloes (Sandalwood), Cinnamon, Frankincense, Myrrh and many more were used not only in everyday life but for anointing and are mentioned more than 600 times in the Bible. Mary and Joseph used them to keep baby Jesus and themselves healthy

Participants of The Healing Oils of the Bible class will be able to:
- Name the book of the Old Testament suggesting that it is God's intent that we live in an environment diffused with molecules of essential oils.
- List 4 books of the Bible that mention 'oils of gladness' or 'oils of joy'.
- List 6 of the principal oils of the bible and state how they were used.
- Explain why essential oils produce emotional responses and how that relates to healing.
- Discuss how and why anointing with scented oils was done in biblical times for both spiritual and physical purposes.
- Explain why ancient Hebrew healers were also the priests.
- Describe how Romans of Biblical times used oils to stimulate their soldiers to be courageous.
- Repeat how the oils experienced in the past were used in ancient times including how King Solomon used the fragrance of cedarwood.
- Repeat how aromatic oils played a role throughout the life of Jesus and how his disciples used oils for keeping healthy
- List some practical applications of the Oils of Scripture for themselves and their families.

Being brought up on a diet of bible study, I thought I knew it back to front and inside out but as a child had failed to notice the things that are important to me now….how many references there are to essential oils and how many different ones there are. We all know about frankincense and myrrh for obvious reasons, but what about galbanum and spikenard and so many more I wasn’t familiar with. Learning about the oils of the bible with Suzanne was a fascinating and inspiring experience. I would highly recommend this informative and interesting workshop. In fact it was so good - I’m going to do it again
