5 Benefits Essential Oils for the Bereaved
Essential oils can offer several benefits to individuals who are experiencing bereavement. Here are some ways in which they may be helpful:

Promoting relaxation: Essential oils such as lavender and chamomile are known for their calming properties. They can help reduce feelings of anxiety and promote relaxation, which can be particularly helpful for those who are grieving.

Easing physical symptomsSome essential oils, such as peppermint and eucalyptus, have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. They can help ease physical symptoms such as headaches and muscle tension, which are common during times of stress.

Supporting emotional well-beingEssential oils such as frankincense and ylang-ylang are known for their ability to promote a sense of well-being and calm. They can help reduce feelings of sadness, anger, and other emotions that can arise during the grieving process.

Enhancing sleep quality: Many essential oils have a calming effect that can help promote better sleep. This can be particularly helpful for those who are experiencing disrupted sleep patterns due to grief.

Providing a sense of comfort: Essential oils can offer a sense of comfort and familiarity during a difficult time. The aroma of a favourite essential oil can help evoke happy memories and provide a sense of comfort and security.

It's important to note that essential oils should not be used as a substitute for professional support during bereavement. However, they can be a useful tool to complement other forms of self-care and support during the grieving process.

The three essential oils I use when offering Memory Resolution Technique are Frankincense, Lavender and Stress Away - blended together.  Aroma has a profound effect on memory.  Check out my 'events' page to see when my next free group session is.

As always, take care and until next time
